Terms of Use
By downloading or using Shiftylog you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The service
Shiftylog is a time-tracking and personal-finance helper for workers. You may use it for personal, lawful purposes. You are responsible for your device, your account credentials and the accuracy of the information you enter.
2. Estimates are not advice
Pay, tax, break and tip figures are rough estimates based on what you enter and on editable suggestions for your country. They are not tax, legal, payroll or financial advice and may not match your employer's records or payslip. Rates and rules change. Verify anything important with your employer or a qualified professional. Shiftylog is not a record accepted by employers or authorities unless they say so.
3. Accounts
An account is optional. You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
4. Shifty Plus subscription
- Plans: monthly and yearly. The price, currency and any free trial offer depend on your region and are shown in the App Store before you buy.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you don't cancel.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing / cancelling: go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Shiftylog. Deleting the app or your Shiftylog account does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trial: if a free trial is offered, any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds: handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Everything for tracking shifts and pay is free. Shifty Plus adds motivation notifications, the Shifty Feed, the motivation widget and an ad-free experience.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, access other users' data, or use it unlawfully.
6. Intellectual property
Shiftylog, Shifty the dog, the logo and the app's content are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app. Your data remains yours.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features, and the app may be unavailable at times. Sync depends on connectivity and may lag.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost wages, income or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Termination
You may stop using Shiftylog at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the changes.
